McBURNEY – The family of the late James Bell McBurney who passed away on the 6th July 2026, wish to express their sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported them at this sad time. We greatly appreciate the many friends and family who attended the funeral service which was a true celebration of a long and exceptional life. Our grateful thanks are extended to Rev. Alistair Beattie who conducted the service and to Gillian and staff from Slemish Pantry who provided the refreshments afterwards. Thanks go to Stevenson’s Funeral Directors for the professional and caring manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
Special thanks must go to the staff of Redford Residential Care Home who provided James with a true “home from home” in his final years. Their exemplary daily care and kindness was greatly appreciated by the entire family.
Finally, thank you to everyone who expressed their condolences through cards, phone calls or messages and all those who sent donations for Cancer Research NI. Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere gratitude.
